Founded in Germany, companies like Avast Software have the longest experience in producing antivirus software. However, Avast VPN Software entered the VPN market much later than other established VPN providers such as HideMyAss . The lack of user awareness is one of the major drawbacks of Avast SecureLine VPN — many haven’t heard of avast VPN.

However, if a team with more than 30 years of experience decides to create VPN software such as Avast, the result is an unbeatable and high-quality VPN tool that can definitely compete with any others VPN tool in the world.

Avast SecureLine VPN Installation and Operation

VPN Review

5 out of 5

We installed Avast VPN on 10, as well as on the Mac: After running the file, Avast SecureLine VPN installs on both machines without complications, and did not change any cirital or core system data. Also, uninstalling Avast was just as easy. After uninstalling, Avast disappeared without leaving a trace. This shows that Avast Software puts great importance on security, professionalism, and transparency.

Not only is the installation easy, but the operation is also just as simple. Avast SecureLine VPN created a very simple interface. First and foremost, the user sees a big connect logo, which the user clicks on. Then you can connect to a any server from any country. From this point on, your identity is hidden. If you can count to two, you can use Avast SecureLine VPN.

In the background, however, complicated encryption algorithms make all connections now unreadable. Anyone who tries to trace pr read your connection would not see anything but a lot of encrypted data. Avast SecureLine VPN uses the latest encryption method called AES with an encryption level of 256-bit. AES is considered to be the most secure encryption in the world, and so far, there is no case where AES-256 was cracked.

Avast SecureLine VPN Speed

VPN Review

4.5 out of 5

Not many know about Avast SecureLine VPN, which also can be viewed as a good thing. Since not many use the software daily, the servers are not as heavily burdened as other more popular providers. Although Avast SecureLine VPN offers significantly fewer servers (about 30), their speed is remarkable. Almost all servers achieve very high bandwidths — downloading movies 4-5 GB in size is done in a few minutes — provided, of course, the in-house bandwidth is also high. Every now and then, though, you can connect to servers that are very slow — but we’ve seldom experienced that. And even then, the problem is resolved by clicking on a new server.

Reliability of Avast SecureLine VPN

VPN Bewertung

4.9 out of 5

We reviewed Avast SecureLine VPN’s reliability and it’s great. As already mentioned in other reviews, VPN server failures can lead to a situation where you suddenly end up with your identity vulnerable to everyone.

For example, if a VPN server suddenly fails while downloading a file with VPN, that user’s identity can be revealed and could theoretically be targeted by investigators. However, this doesn’t happen with Avast SecureLine VPN. So far, we’ve only been able to detect one server failure — and to our great admiration, Avast SecureLine VPN provided a warning message and did not simply restore the original connection.

from $3.99

All in all, except for one outage, we did not detect any further failures. Now and then it happens that fast servers slow down. However, this is also the case with other VPN tools and therefore shouldn’t be taken into account when comparing Avast’s reliability to other competitors.

Value for Money From Avast SecureLine VPN

VPN Review

4.9 out of 5

Avast SecureLine VPN is priced fairly well when compared to other VPN software in the market. However their are cheaper competitors such as NordVPN. Avast SecureLine VPN may be more expensive, costing $3.99 monthly if you commit to a yearly plan, but this is because of their software is of higher quality. We can confirm this with certainty, since Avast SecureLine VPN has 30 years of experience in Software & Security. Avast SecureLine VPN is like the Mercedes among VPNs, and therefore the price is by no means too high. Those who are not 100% sure can cancel Avast’s slightly more expensive subscription after the first month. However, the annual subscription is much cheaper and also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Therefore, a monthly subscription makes less sense. After 30 days of continuous use you get more than enough knowledge of how good the product is and the quality of Avast SecureLine VPN.

Avast Technical Support

VPN Bewertung

4.9 out of 5

Due to Avast’s high quality standards, they put more weight on the importance of excellent support. Unlike other providers, Avast SecureLine VPN offers a 24h phone hotline. This is pretty rare for VPN providers which makes it a special feature for Avast. Avast also offers an unusually large database of FAQ’s, and also a contact form, which will be answered within 24h by the Avast team.
