“554 5.2.3 MailPolicy violation Error” from Zoho Resolved

Zoho Blocking Emails & Calendar Invites

Some users using Zoho Email are struggling with this email message:

Message blocked
Your message to {Email} has been blocked. See technical details below for more information.
The response from the remote server was:

554 5.2.3 MailPolicy violation Error delivering to mailboxes

In my case this happened when I was using Zoho as my email provider, Outlook as my Email Client, and the Google Workspace Google Calender.

Here is my setup:

  • Using Zoho Email setup for my domain mydomainexample.com
  • Using Microsoft Outlook Client and accessing my Zoho Emails through Zoho Login Credentials
  • Using Google Workspace where my mydomainexample.com is registered

Each time when I sent an Google Calender invite to my  mydomainexample.com-Emails from another mydomainexample.com-Email, a calender invite was being blocked by Zoho.

Below is an easy fix. Login to your Zoho Admin Account and follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Security & Compliance”
  2. Click on “Spam Control”
  3. Click on “Trusted List”
  4. Click on the tab “Domains”
  5. And then click “+Add” and add your domain

As a result, Zoho will no longer block incoming Calendar Notifications from Google.
